All About Women
Steve Harvey
When Steve Harvey’s team approached us to produce a short documentary addressing misconceptions about women in the UAE, we knew the storytelling had to be matched with clean, precise execution. The entire shoot took place on the golf course at Saadiyat Island, giving us open, natural visuals without the need for additional B-roll or secondary locations.
We shot on the Nikon Z6, selected for its full-frame sensor, compact form, and excellent skin tone reproduction. Paired with fast primes, the Z6 gave us the flexibility to work quickly while still delivering high-end results.
For stabilization, we used the DJI RS4 Pro inside the Tilta Advanced Ring, supported by an Easy Rig with Stabil Arm—a combo that gave us the freedom to float through dolly-style movements with minimal crew fatigue. Direction was monitored wirelessly using SmallHD monitors linked with Teradeks, providing real-time feedback even while roaming across the course.
Lighting was kept minimal outdoors, using large bounces to control contrast during moving shots. For the indoor interview setups, we relied on a mix of ARRI SkyPanels, Nanlux, and Amaran lights, balancing soft key lighting with fill and accent control for a clean, consistent aesthetic.
Deliverables included a 90-second teaser, a 3-minute cut, and a 5-minute extended version, each designed for different distribution channels but unified in tone and visual language. A small crew, minimal footprint, and efficient gear selection made this shoot both agile and cinematic—exactly what was needed for a story that speaks clearly and powerfully.
